Blairgowrie Beach Patrol.

The Blairgowrie 3942 Beach Patrol meets at the Blairgowrie Shops on the fourth Sunday of each month at 9 am. Be sure to follow Blairgowrie Beach Patrol 3942 on Facebook & Instagram or click here for updates! Come along to help reduce plastic pollution in our environment and the local community.

Passionate about conservation and motivated to volunteer within the community? Our Beach Patrol is for you! BeachPatrol is a litter collection volunteer group spread over many postcodes. Within each postcode, a group of locals pick up litter from their beaches, streets, or parks once a month. The litter is mostly plastic items. We want to stop them from getting into the ocean and prevent harm to wildlife. All litter collected is logged in the BeachPatrol app. The data collection and distribution is a key part of what BeachPatrol performs. We use this data to advocate for changes that will reduce litter:  raising awareness of littered beaches and streets and working with local and state governments to address this issue.
